Description of Butia yatay
The tallest of all Butia (8 to 12 m), it is close to Butia capitata. Its large beautiful pinnate leaves are bluish, ant its symetric grey trunk grows slowly. It blooms in long inflorescences of yellow or red flowers.

Place it in a rich soil, in full sun, and water its base. It can withstand windy conditions.
